About Us

Worthwhile Africa was founded by a team of passionate East Africans who grew up exploring the forests, savannahs, and lakeshores of Uganda and Rwanda. We didn't learn about gorillas from documentaries—we grew up in their shadows.
After years of watching visitors arrive with guides who didn't truly know this land, we decided to do things differently. We wanted to offer safaris that felt personal, authentic, and deeply connected to the places and people you encounter.
Today, we design safaris that go beyond the checklist. We introduce you to the quiet moments—the morning mist over Bwindi, the laughter of children in a village, the knowing gaze of a silverback. These are the moments that stay with you.

Where We Take You

Uganda

Track lions across golden savannas, connect deeply with warm, vibrant communities, and trek misty rainforests to encounter mountain gorillas.

Rwanda

Trek through rainforests to encounter mountain gorillas in Rwanda’s spectacular Land of a Thousand Hills.

Local Expertise

A place is only as special as the person showing it to you. We hire expert guides from local communities who deeply understand their home. They are highly trained in wildlife behavior, first aid, and environmental care. Our team ensures all animal interactions are safe and respectful, and they run completely zero-waste tours.

Uplifting Communities

Nature thrives only when local people thrive. We support groups like Ride for a Woman in Bwindi and a dedicated center for young mothers in Entebbe. Walking the Batwa Trail directly helps indigenous families preserve their history. Connecting with these groups creates genuine cultural exchange.

Our Safari Cars

To ensure your comfort and safety, each spacious vehicle is equipped with charging ports, cold refreshments, first aid, and reliable communication tools. With a maximum of six guests per vehicle, you are always guaranteed a window seat. When it is time to view the wildlife, the pop-up roof opens completely, offering an uninterrupted 360-degree perspective of the open savannah.
